LEGLESS

 Three people, four chairs, one table. The performers balance a table without legs on their body. Three  bodies that carry their past and present, their memories, their  passions and regrets, their flaws, their dreams and suspensions,  their values and aspirations, are called to exist alone/together in  this strange condition that restricts their body, movement and  actions, while at the same time looking for the last man, who will fill  the empty chair and complete this "missing" quartet. 

Who am I; Who are you; Who are we together? Can I support this  whole by collecting and assimilating -or not- behaviors from the  people around me? Could the public do the same if it finds itself in  this context? Is it really necessary to fill the fourth place or can this  team exist as it is? 

…it is impossible not to belong to social groups, relations, or culture… People are necessarily situated in particular webs of belonging [and] people are implicated in social actions which they are not entirely free to choose…. Moreover, when the limits of belonging to specific webs of relationships are transcended, this is not into a freedom from relationships but into a different organization of relationships [that creates] a patchwork of new connections. (Colhoun 2003, pp. 536-537)
