    Images/Representations

The representations of the body in ancient Greek and Cypriot vases, reliefs and statues, become the occasion for a work / journey / return. After a long period of research, study and recording, the choreographer shares this material with her team and together they decipher and revive a kinetic vocabulary that has been immobilized in time, but remains alive within us.

These ancient figures, the postures, the gestures, capture moments of life experienced then, as they do today. By embodying myths and archetypes, heroes and their stories, we discover a part of ourselves. The image becomes a window to a personal inner landscape, as much as to a landscape of collective memory.

The five exceptional dancers of the group through movement or attitude, rhythm, form, Apollonia sobriety, or explosive Dionysian ecstasy, converse with our cultural origins and our collective imagination. An invisible thread connects our lives past and present. The myths and stories come to find us or we go to meet them! And through them to say our own!
